XS2 Client Beta2

Solutecs partners took part in new XS2 application testing. XS2 Client meets the requirements of the users and helps to make the work better.

Solutecs announces the results of new product in the XS2 family beta-testing. XS2 Client is the application for developers which allow working directly with XS2 methods without using the back-door or FTP.

On March, 27th Solutecs suggested its partners to take part in XS2 Client beta-testing. Solutecs partners constantly and successfully use XS2 Base for web-projects of various complexity: from corporate sites, the e-shops and promo-sites up to multipurpose information portals or, for example, systems of internal document management. The release of this application is planned for the of April, 2006.

XS2 Client is a new trend and new service for CMS market. As a rule all common CMS demand to download files though FTP or through the system interface. This is not convinient and does not let to control the files changings and the collective development becomes practically impossible. "In case of outsourcing the lack of such application makes the process more difficult, inconvinient and what is more important unsafe", - noted Arseny Lebedev, the chief of Solutecs R&D department.

Check in/check out operations help the developers to work together and control the file versions. Once the file is changed it is returned to server immediately and everybody working on the project are notified about the changings. XS2 Client allows using any code-editor convenient for the developer. Such approach essentially raise the quality of project-management, reduces time spent for programming and increases productivity of team work.

System requirements (client part):

• Operational system Microsoft Windows (98/98SE/Me/2000/XP/2003);
• Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0;
• RAM requirements depend on OS used (approx.15- 25 mbyte);
• Free hard disk space: 1 Mb + the enough space for method files occupation.

• Server with XS2 Core v1.20/b06.0327 and higher.
